The Lofts at Ashland
Springs is a mixed use development located on the site
of an existing surface parking lot adjacent to the
historic Ashland Springs Hotel. This multifaceted
project will include 14 units of residential and
commercial condominiums, spaces for commercial and
retail tenants and structured parking for the existing
hotel, new users, and the public. The compact
development provides an opportunity to make more
effective use of an unattractive parking lot and provide
new spaces for people and business in a hospitable and
pedestrian friendly landscape.
The design pays respect to the historic nature of its
downtown site while forging a newer, more European
aesthetic. Classical formal elements and old world
materials have been combined and re-imagined with a
modern sensibility providing a new landmark in the heart
of downtown Ashland.
