The visitor’s facility is a small restroom and park maintenance building to be located at the site of a new barrier-free park adjacent to the Jackson County Exposition Center in Central Point, Oregon. The current park area surrounds a number of vernal pools and ponds and is unimproved making approaching the water difficult, especially for those with disabilities. New facilities will provide easy access to the pools for fishing and provide improved recreational opportunities for the community.

The building’s design draws upon the rich natural history of the area. The roof’s vegetated surface recalls tectonic episodes of the areas rich geologic past, resembling in many ways an area of native grassland thrust from the surrounding earth.
