Woodrow Pines | |
Woodrow Pines is a living
facility for adults transitioning from treatment in the
mental health system to independent living. The project
includes two buildings grouped around shared outdoor
living areas. Building one features seven one bedroom,
apartment style units with individual kitchens and baths
as well as shared laundry and storage areas. Building
two as well as a four bedroom group facility with shared
bathroom and kitchen, and a unit for the on-site
manager.
The facility’s interiors and exteriors feature durable
low-maintenance finishes. The exterior architecture
reflects the Craftsman tradition common to so many of
the area and providing a calming familiarity for the
residents. Heavy timber detailing marks the entry
canopies common to each of the buildings and the
exterior patio areas.
