Ashland Family YMCA, Ashland OR

The new addition of a Natatorium and Weight Room makes the Ashland Family YMCA one of the leading fitness facilities in the state. The 45' x 75' pool ranges from 3' to 9' in depth and includes a 20' x 20' shallow area for children and for senior exercise programs. The design integrates a separate therapy pool enclosure.

A second level expansion of the existing workout facility adds 3,000 square feet of space overlooking the pool. The final phase - an 18,000-square-foot addition - consists of a state-of-the art fitness center, a 7,000 square-foot multi-purpose aerobics area, a new entry lobby, expanded administration services, and an elevator.

The project was featured in the October 2004 edition of Recreation Management Magazine in an article describing many of the design constraints and solutions.
